  13. A derelict warship, its weapons still operational, floating near a strategically important trade route.
  14. A spatial rift that emits a spectrum of light invisible to the naked eye, but with the profound effect of enhancing or dampening emotions.
  15. A planet-sized quantum computer orbiting a forgotten star, solving unknown equations and occasionally broadcasting its findings into distant space.

GM Tips

  • Escalate on repeats: If you roll the same anomaly twice, advance its “story.” The mirror ring fails; the void swallows a probe; the soul nebula asks for a favour. Ramp up the result in new and interesting ways.
  • Breadcrumb clustering: Place three anomalies in the same sector and connect them. For example, your players could discover an errant planetoid caught in an interdimensional fissure, along with an ancient cargo vessel.
  • Faction hooks: Integrate into your campaign by leveraging your existing plot points. If megacorps are causing havoc with private armies, they could be extracting them from the phenomena. If a cult is expanding their territory, they could be worshiping an aspect of the deep space feature. Your crew is stuck in the middle.
